Infections that can not be cured

4 INFECTIONS THAT CAN'T BE CURED BUT MANAGED By Adejuwon Esther Oluwatomisin

STDs are diseases that can be passed from one person to another through vaginal, oral, or anal contact. Most STDs can be cured, and even those that can't be cured can be managed or lessened through treatment. Here are four sexually transmitted diseases that Healthline and Medicine Net says have no cure.

1. Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)

Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is the name of the virus that causes acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS). Adults can only get AIDS through sexual contact or blood-to-blood transmission. Babies can get HIV in the womb or through breastfeeding. If you get HIV, you might have flu-like symptoms right away, but many people don't have any symptoms at all. The virus grows in the body without causing any symptoms. An HIV test is the only way to find out if someone has the virus. If the virus isn't treated, it changes the immune system for good, which can lead to AIDS in the long run.

2. Hepatitis B

The hepatitis B virus (HBV), which gets into the liver and makes it sick, is one of the main causes of liver cancer. Most of the time, babies are given a vaccine against this virus when they are born. Most people can get rid of hepatitis B on their own, and some infections don't even cause any symptoms. If you have hepatitis B, the best thing to do is talk to your doctor about testing your liver and possible treatments. There will be less damage to your liver from the virus if you take antiviral drugs and boost your immune system.

3. Human papilloma virus (HPV)

The human papilloma virus is the most common sexually transmitted disease (HPV). HPV can be spread through genital, oral, or anal contact with someone who has it. Most people with HPV don't have any symptoms. Most people with HPV don't know they have it because they don't have any symptoms. However, HPV is incurable and can sometimes lead to genital warts, cervical cancer, and mouth cancer.

4. Herpes

Herpes is one of two chronic STDs caused by viruses. Herpes is quite common. It is spread through direct skin-to-skin contact. Many people with herpes don't know they have it because there are no symptoms. But when symptoms do show up, they look like a painful anus or sores around the genitalia. Antiviral drugs that reduce outbreaks and the risk of spreading the virus make it very easy to get rid of herpes. The virus that causes herpes is spreadable, and it stays in your body for the rest of your life. Herpes lesions can sometimes show up on your skin, but the virus can also be dormant for a long time.
